The Truth Of Joy And Love

The Truth Of Joy And Love

Three are three major lies in life, at least as far as I’m concerned: “One size fits all”, “Love means never having to say your sorry?” and “If you build it they will come.” All of these I have found, in truth, not so much. Over the past few years, I’d add another one, “If you want it badly enough and work hard enough, you will succeed.” That set people up to not only feel like a loser, but puts them in a one down position if they chose a different path. People don’t “succeed” for a lot of reasons: family responsibilities, lack of money, illness, and there is only room at the top for a very few, etc. Not excuses, but reality. In true, the real accomplishment in life is embracing your own truth, and finding love and joy there.

I think that in part that is what this scripture is about. In this season of Christmas, Jesus offers us the truth of joy and love through a relationship with God. God wants us to live in His truth: love, peace and joy. Hey, maybe sometimes one size does fit all.

Merry Christmas and Blessings,
