Growing In Wisdom

Growing In Wisdom

August is almost half over, and the bag of mulch I placed by one of the flower beds last May is still in tack and waiting to be spread. At this point I’m trying to decide if I should just save it for next year, or start now to reshape the bed. I guess it really depends on if I’m going to plant bulbs or annuals. The last couple of times I’ve tried to plant bulbs I think I planted them upside down. Apparently, even tulips know which way is up. Annuals or bulbs; that is the questions. Actually, the real question is do I have the time and energy to reshape that flower bed this fall.

I think that in part, that is what the scripture is about. God calls us to actually think about and make decisions in life based on knowledge, hope and truth. God does not want us to check our brains or common sense at the door. Joy and richness of life comes from claiming God’s promises and growing in wisdom. We are called to learn which way is up, just like the tulips.

Blessings,
