A Life of Peace and Love

A Life of Peace and Love

Another plant bit the dust today. Seems I really over watered it, at least that’s what the dropping water-soaked leaves implied. This is my problem; I assume growing instructions are only loose guidelines. So, I tend to ignore the plants for a period of time, and then compensate by over feeding and watering. Makes me feel better, but not so much for the azaleas. I tried growing a Christmas Cactus a kind friend gave me. After six months I was so proud it was still green and had berries, then realized it was plastic. Well, at least I hadn’t over watered it. Actually, that’s how I came to understand it was plastic. I put water on the berries and the dye came off. Who knew you can even over water a plastic plant.

I think that in part that is what the scripture is about. God has given us the way and means to have a life of peace and love, but we pretty much ignore the instructions. We end up with damaged relationship and plastic lives with the dye coming off. God wants us to be full of life and bloom in his love. We just have to do our part. We’ll I’m off to the garden center to buy the next set of victims, I mean azaleas.

Blessings,
